what’s the agenda for appointee orientation look like?

activities… on cadet shadow day?
etc…

you've already gotten your appointment, it has a schedule in the info packet

we might get more information on that when our appointee kits come out, which better be soon... ;)

seriously! my mom makes fun of me every day because i'm restless 'til the mailman comes :)

right... there is a schedule in the appointee packet

but, it does not cover "shadow day" specifics...
(ie. class w/cadet, PT w/ cadet) ...??

just curious.

and after you send in your acceptance form more information packets follow.

you would be with a cadet for monday evening through tuesday (1630 monday to about 1530 I think on Tuesday). You do as much as your escort allows (or might make you do). ;)

aw darn you mean i cant just walk around all day with redhead and be lazy like a regular tour? hahaha :) i cant wait, it's gonna be alot of fun actually stayin the night

triplenickel and missmuff, yall are right, im ready to get my 2nd packet too

Glad to see that you are all excited about coming here, but make sure you are enjoying your last few months home.

You will have plenty of time to spend here, and it will be 4 of the longest, shortest, worst, best, most memorable years of your life...but don't miss out on your time at home because you're looking forward.

Make sure to see all your friends, your families, do things you want to do, go on trips, visit places...because soon the rest of your life is going to start, and (if you're committed to what you've set out to do) there's no turning back.

Good advice.

As far as orientation goes, you'll just follow whoever you're paired up with and do what they do. Anyone who follows me around should have an affinity for getting up around 5 am to swim, and then running or biking later on that afternoon. And they should probably like classic rock (or country if my roomate gets his way) since we'll be recognized by then.

How are the appointee's paired with their escorts? Is it a random selection or can there be a request? Just curious because I think itd be cool to shadow a fellow CC'er... ;)

definitely agree w/ you on that one, pennsylvania :) zman- classic rock is amazing. country isnt.

i'm also curious how they pair appointees up w/ cadets

Last year, we (the appointees) all walked into Clune Arena and I think it was just a random selection. If you want to stay with one of us though, that's no problem, we'll spot you. I stayed with a CCer last year and it worked out great.

Speaking of which, I need to fill out the paperwork for hosting...

hmmm so its only you newly recognized 4 digs that host correct?

id like a CC'er, any volunteers?;)

Actually, cadets of any class can host. I'm sure almost all of us would love to give you the grand tour (myself included). :)

I'll send you a PM.

i like the "almost" part of that previous post... ;)

hmmmm sounds like a plan, so youre def gonna host PETKO?

I view it as my turn to repay the favor. :)

Leadership is asking that if we volunteer to host, we do it for all three sessions. I'm booked for the last session now :D, but if anyone else (male, preferably ;)) is looking for a host, I'm still free for the first two.

I'm debating whether or not to host...figuring that it would best be left to the freshmen. I will, however, be present at our second annual CC dinners, provided we're having them.

what's a CC dinner?

I am also open to hosting. I hosted 07PETKO and Tim last year. :) However, I'd suggest going with one of our 4 digs first, unless you really have a desire to see the life of the hornet :) (or eagle or G4C or raimius....)

Either way, I'll probably meet you so I can put the name to the face in BCT. ;)
