Orientation: Classes filled?

Hi, im scheduled for orientation, sometime in the beginning of august. Very late!

Im going to be taking some impacted chemistry classes.
Someone with experience, is there a chance that these impacted courses will fill up before i even have a chance to enroll in them? Has this happened before?

thanks

it's definitely happened before. it's common. depends on the class though.

What is the impacted chemistry class?

heh...Chem 30C or Chem 110A?

sorry to bug you guys with another question,
im transferring to ucla for fall 2007, can i take an intro to bio class at a community college this summer so that it will count in the place of a ucla bio class?
thanks

transfer student?

anyway, um... you should be fine for Chem 30C b/c most South Campus majors don't have to take C (i think it's primarily chem and biochem majors that have to.) you might have some difficulties with 110A depending on the time and instructor... but, again not as many ppl actually need to take this class compared to like Chem 153A which is a pre-req for med school... 110A isn't...

I honestly think you'll be fine and if the classes are full, sign up on the waiting list. You will most likely get in at least in my experience, I have always gotten into the Chem classes b/c people will still be moving classes around LONG into the summer.

you can take a bio class at a JC as long as it's UC transferable...
