orientation

Aquamom had suggested on the back: FC FC (FallenChemist Fan Club)

Fallen has been unusually silent during this discussion…hmmmm… perhaps he is having the tee shirts printed as we speak!

Oh good Lord no! LOL. I have been out all morning, and heading out again in a few.

Really nothing to add to the math discussion anyway, either path will turn out fine. Getting 120 credits in 4 years really isn’t difficult. 15 hours a semester is quite a normal load. I guess my only comment is for anyone that struggles in any subject, either intellectually or motivationally because it just isn’t their thing, is that they take advantage of all resources available to them. Office hours for the profs and TA’s (if there is a TA assigned to that course) and I believe there are people that are in a kind of general pool that are available for various subjects, with things like chemistry, math, physics and help with writing papers being the most common. I am not sure where they hang out, if there is a place in the library or if it is at the advising center in Richardson (not architecture Richardson, the other one). Too many students wait too late to see these people, it is much better to start using them right away and stay on track.

I leave the forum for 15 minutes to make my kids breakfast and the solution is waiting for me when I return. Jozuko, FC FC…I like it. What do you think?
FC- will you be mailing them out or do we pick them up at Orientation?

Jozuko, thanks for the Math info. btw, I’ll pass it on to my dd and see what she decides.

fallen…this could potentially be quite a lucrative business venture for you…tee shirts, hats, buttons, the possibilities are endless!

^^^^^^This!

I think you all are getting a little carried away. But hey, if you want me to set up a PayPal account for donations…

I laughed so hard both my son + husband came running to see what was going on…I was out all day and missed quite a bit! I am in on the tee-shirt but you couldn’t pay my son + husband to wear it - every party has a one (or 2).

@t-shirt idea…
We attended another school where there was also a very active and informed cc moderator and one of them organized a social gettogetherbof cc ers where we all wore our usernames as name tags… It was really fun. We will not attend that other school but meeting was a lot of fun.
No sure whether workable at orientation sice we all go at different times, but may be fun during move- in week .

I’m in for a CC get together during move in week. No judgement allowed though. We have all put ourselves out there quite a bit ( at least a lot of us) but it would be fun to meet the support group we’ve had during the last couple of months. Our families have no idea how lucky they are that we had someone else to obsess to!..so, FC, what’s that weekend look like for you? It CAN’T happen without you.

As much fun as that would be, I think it is quite unlikely. My D won’t need help moving in this fall, and obviously it is a long trip. But it sounds like a great idea, you all should definitely meet at the Sazerac Room or someplace similar.

To be continued in the “move in thread” soon to be forthcoming.:-)

ooh…a “move in thread!!!” now I am getting excited!
