EA or RD applicants...

where are you guys all from? Anyone from around Pittsburgh?

I'm from the Philly area . i know thats not pittsburgh, but its closer that LA haha

I, too, am from the Philly area! Pennsylvania pride, or something. ;)

definately :) haha we will have to all meet up once we all get in!! Did you guys apply EA or RD?!?

I applied EA, and I'm pretty sure iplayoboe did, too. Let's hope we all get in! Not that you have to worry, panthers7. ;)

Haha well it would be nice having no worries, but naturally I still have some apprehension! I am not "in" yet, I am as likely as you guys. I am sure you are amazing students!!!, obviously you care a lot, or you wouldn't be on this board!

Actually, you're pretty much already in; they said that you'd basically be in if you didn't screw up your grades through the rest of the year, but somehow I don't think you're going to bomb between now and the 16th (that's the date, isn't it?). Still, I'm definitely hoping I get in. I'm pretty sure I'll get deferred, and then who knows what will happen? Oh, well!

why do you think you will get deferred? what is your run-down (if you don't mind)??

SAT 1600, SAT II: Spanish 790, Writing 750, Math IIC 740 (If I get deferred, I'm /so/ retaking Writing and Math II.). GPA is a 3.8 or 3.9, sadly. And I'll spare you the rest.

Basically... I'm the same as a whole lot of people out there. Bah!

oh my "i have a 1600 and im going to get deferred"...cry me a river

wow, that is very impressive! I would be willing to bet you get in! You are certainly above the norm (atleast academically!)

getting in is not based only upon academics, as you know. :)

I'm not from Pitt, but I'm there right now :) (visiting my grandparents for Thanksgiving break).

Exactly, chidimma. Which is why I'm terrified.

To Newt and Panthers: I've never been to Pitt, but I've heard it's just lovely. I've also heard it has a much lower cost of living than the Philly area, which would explain why so many people from around here move out there after graduating. ;)

I like it here. It's hilly, something not found where I live in the plains state of Illinois :p

Well, I'm from detroit, ergo not pittsburgh...I'm applying RD, so I gots me a nice long wait ahead...

Philly suburbs represent!

Greetings from the EMpire State.

what part of ny??

sleet, NY PRIDE :D

Long Island here...but I'm a wannabe NYCer...

Actually, I'm a wannabe New Havener :o
