OSU does not superscore

I just saw that Ohio State does not superscore, but takes the best score from one sitting of the SAT. That changes things a bit, but hopefully not too much. My s has a 3.93 W GPA and a 1300 combined SAT. Enough for Nat’l Buckeye if he gets in. Is there a shot at Engineering Scholars with this?

Has S taken ACT? Minimum scores needed for scholars fluctuate a bit each year. I tried to find comparable SAT scores but wasn’t able. ACT needed for scholars for incoming freshmen last year was 28 -30 with a class rank of around top 11%. If S applied early action by Nov 1 and designated that he wanted scholars he should find out in January. Good Luck!

Thanks. I believe that his scores translate to about a 29 ACT. He is a little low on the class rank, about top 15% or so. It seems that the Scholars Program would be a great network for him and, having done something similar in law school, will forge lasting friendships. Best of luck.
