<p>Does anyone know when the decisions for the OSU Presidential and Honors Medalist Scholarships is released? I heard there were interviews needed as well, when are the people who are called for those contacted? Essentially, when should one expect to be contacted if they are to move forward in the process.</p>
<p>You should have been invited for an interview by now. Maybe someone else in CC can verify this.</p>
<p>On Friday I talked to someone who works for the Honors Program at OSU…he said they are hoping to announce Medalist winners with letters within two to three weeks, and that from those winners, some are invited for interviews–there is no interview for the Medalist.</p>
<p>If you win Medalist, they are hoping to have it listed on the official financial aid package that goes out in mid to late march…but he said the odds are obviously super low</p>

<p>Thanks for the information and clarification. I was giving up hope on the 50 Medalist and 15 Presidential Scholarships since my son had not heard anything. Good luck to you if you are a candidate for one of those scholarships.</p>
<p>Thanks, and good luck to your son too. The guy said winners typically had 34 ACT or above and top 3 percent class rank, but that even with those credentials you still can’t bank on it. They also award Batelle scholarships at that time, which are like 4 full tuitions to those entering STEM fields who are candidates for the Medalist.</p>
<p>Yes. His scores puts him in the very competitive category so we’ll just wait to hear in the next 2-3 weeks.</p>

<p>Although the Honors e-mail OSU sent out last Friday said that all winners “had been notified with confirmation of receipt” - ?</p>
<p>I received absolutely no electronic notification, and the letter I got today was the first notification I received. </p>
<p>And I didn’t receive the honors email that OSU apparently sent out last friday either…so I don’t know if it’s an email issue or not. And I did nothing (and don’t have to do anything?) to confirm my receipt so I think that the phrase “with confirmation of receipt” might be lightweight bogus</p>
<p>That’s odd…this is what the Friday e-mail said: </p>
<p>“Medalist and Presidential Scholarships The Medalist Scholarships have been awarded. The students awarded the Medalist Scholarship have been notified and receipt of their notifications has been confirmed. There were 1,888 incoming Honors freshmen in contention for the Medalist Scholarships so it was a highly competitive selection process. A subset of the Medalist Scholarship awardees will be interviewed for the Presidential Scholarships.”</p>
