Another thing to consider... if your D or S received any scholarships, many require that you be continuously enrolled in school or forfeit the $. That would be sad.

Hey Dr. John...did those letters go out?:)

Just wondering the same thing, beachmom. :)

Yes, they were mailed on Friday.

Yikes, my kid will be haunting the mailbox tomorrow. Thanks, Dr J!!

That's okay because mine already started stalking the mailbox:)...glad to know it is on the way....ummm, I think.

Are we talking about acceptance letters????
I'm sooo confused!

No, read post #304 on the previous page; Dr. John explains what letters they have mailed.

Good luck!!

So sad; no letter today.

No letter here either...poor mailman must wonder why he hasn't seen me in months and suddenly everyday when he pulls up I'm out the door to get the mail:).

Don't worry--you WILL get one of those letters described in post 304--sooner or later. You never know what happens to the mail once it goes out. Good luck regarding the news you get in that letter!!!

Thanks...seems silly, but since it is the ONLY thing I know has gone out recently...well it of course is on my mind:)...and his:). It will all be over in a month or so...just excited to find out the outcome!

I understand completely. I have this unhealthy attachment to my computer--checking CC, checking my S's app status at the various colleges. . .I can't imagine what I'll do with my time when this is over! I'll have to clean the house!

Good luck to everyone who is waiting on his or her Otterbein letters. I am at work, so I have no idea if one of those envelopes has made its way to our doorstep or not. Just have to wait until we get home tonight to find out. (And I get what you mean, letsfigureitout, about the "unhealthy" attachment to the computer. Word!) :)
This just in: call from home. NO college-related mail today. Grrr, grumble, grumble.

OH MAN...well, I'm right there with you guys...fingers crossed our kids all get letters tomorrow!
Letsfigureitout...my computer and I are WAY TOO friendly these days too!

I am with you all on the unhealthy attachment to the computer these days. On the way to work this morning I considered simply not logging in to CC today, but by the time I was at my desk, I said "naaaahh, I'll log in just for a few minutes". I really-sort-of-love-it.

Do we think ALL kids will get a letter or just the kids being released from consideration?

nevermind...I see the answer from post #300

OK, Aussie says everyone gets letters, but Dr. John's #304 post stated

"So we changed our procedure. We now release students whom we know we won't be considering at our selection meeting. It means a smaller group for us to look at more closely in March. "

(don't know how to put it in a little box).

SO, maybe we DON'T want these letters, eh?

As I posted on the rejection thread (CCM) yesterday, inside the mailbox of doom, was a ray of light... the Otterbein letter. It said that my d was still in the running and final decisons would be made the end of March.
Good thoughts to everyone!

HappyMom

As I understand it, everyone gets a letter; yes you are still under consideration or we are releasing you from consideration. Then those still under consideration will go before the review committee and they will again be waiting for final decisions.
