No news from Otterbein for us today...hopefully we will hear tomorrow.

Yes, the letters have most certainly gone out; everyone should receive something really soon!

My S got his letter on the 28th--WAIT LISTED for acting.

My son is wait listed for acting too:)...fingers crossed for all the wait list people!

no news for us today.

My d got her rejection from Otterbein today. :(

Well......................................................still no letter.

I'd call 'em at this point!

Letsfigureitout,

Thank-You, I needed that! I actually did email but my email was returned. It looks like perhaps they have a block on right now. I know they were on break last week but they have returned (probably to many emails from parents).
I have a feeling it won't be good news this late, but we would like to move on and be excited about her next choice, it's hard to do that with one left hanging.
Ha! do you think they will answer the phone?

Hushinfazen...CALL OTTERBEIN...they are just so nice. I just don't think they would mind at all if you have not received anything and just need to know. Seriously, everyone I've spoken to there is wonderful!

I agree with everyone else, if you haven't heard by now, give them a call. The rule is, if you haven't heard by April 1 give them a call. I'd call admissions and ask for Debbie. She's the sweetest lady ever, and she'll let you know.
Good Luck!

My D applied to Otterbein for vocal performance and was accepted and I agree that, if there is any school in the country that won't mind a call, it is Otterbein. They really are the nicest people you will run into anywhere.

Thank-you everyone! I did finally receive an answer to my email and it is what we thought .......thanks, but no thanks.

hushinfazen
so sorry to hear your D was not accepted to Otterbein. I know she has other acceptances to select from and I hope she is happy with her decision.

Thank-you keepingcalm,
We feel very fortunate to have options.
I was really hoping for Otterbein but for a different reason....Skybus has a direct shuttle from Burbank (almost next door) to Columbus (sometimes as low as 10.00) Pittsburgh is almost impossible from Los Angeles at all!

If you've got more time than money, it would almost be worth flying into Columbus, getting a rental car, and driving to Pittsburgh! (about 3 hours) :)

Hi! I'm a high school junior and I was wondering-what is the earliest date I may apply to Otterbein for musical theatre?

This past year Otterbein's first audition was Nov. 30th. My son filled out their application in June. CCM's first audition was Dec 1st and his application was sent by Sept 30th. (Their's was not available until Sept 1st.) Baldwin Wallace's first audition was at the end of Oct. My son auditioned there towards the end of Jan. His application was completed by October 15th.
I hope this helps.

Have any waitlist people heard back yet? Acting or Musical Theatre?

So funny you should ask...I was just coming to post when I read your question. My son got the call today and he is in off the waitlist for acting! Now he has 3 schools to choose from and they are all great and he is more confused than ever!! Not complaining, mind you:)...nice to have these choices.

Congrats to your son beachmom!!

Having lotsa choices is difficult, no question. But I know you agree that it is a good "problem" to have!
