Roger, I was admitted to the psych ward and they put me on IV with multiple sedatives because of the withdrawal symptoms. I was given access to google’s cached copies of zoosermom’s account on Asian parents such as me jockeying to get to the head of the line for summer camp and threads relating to clams’ bodily functions to keep me going during the emergency.
In my desperation, I searched for articles about cc. I had to have something to read!! I actually came across a really funny one on Urban Dictionary.

Honestly, I thought it was utterly HILARIOUS that CC went offline for hours right after Ivy decisions were released. Don’t feel bad- I needed the laugh WAY more than I needed to read the posts of kids with lower stats who were accepted to the same schools that rejected me! Luckily, by the time CC came back on I had realized that getting upset at legacies and affirmative action admitees was not going to make me feel better
