Overnight Guests

I was wondering if you're allowed to have overnight guests who don't go to UT. I read and understand the policy regarding guests on the Division of Food and Housing site but wasn't sure if that applies to only UT students or if you can bring guests from outside the university. I have two friends that would like to visit Austin sometime in February. Both go to UT Arlington and are planning on transferring to UT in the near future.

Thanks for any help.

just make sure its straight with your roommate, there’s a whole formal process thats a waste of time

Roommate and I are both good friends with the two that are visiting. I really wouldn’t bother with the whole formal process as no one on my floor, RA included, will probably care or even notice that we have people staying with us for a night. My only concern is when we get back to the dorm late, they make you swipe your ID. Not sure how we’d avoid that.

My friend literally spent 3/7 nights at our place .but then everyone was good friends with him. It was an off campus dorm. shh
