For those of you got invited to both, which one do you go(they are held at the same weekend)?

I guess what I essentially asking is, Rice vs. WUSTL. Not sure which one my son will eventually choose. I told him to be open-minded and do the neccesary things to decide(visit campus, sit in classes, talk to students...etc). However, considering how influential these events are, choosing which one to go is likely to have lots of bearing on the final decision. My son has to decide which one to go NOW, since it involves air travel.

I thought it is May 1 but it seems as if the deadline is now. Comments?

Cajundad - this is not directly related to your question, so I won't type it all here, but if you are interested in why i chose Rice over Wash U, please PM me.
Having never been to WashU's admitted student's weekend, I cannot compare it to Rice's directly, but I can tell you I had a GREAT time at owl weekend last year.

i have to choose between prom and owl weekend...

rani - owl weekend. Prom is not that awesome. :)

rani, your dilemma is a lot tougher than my son's, lol.

Go back to my son's problem. How many of you have the event like this turn out to be a tip factor? If so, please share your experience.

personally, i know how important it is to visit a college. So i would maybe even say that you should tell your son to go to the one he's MORE uncertain about - or the one he has not visited. i think its his choice, ultimately, because he'll have his reasons one way or the other.

haha jenskate1- well, okay, i have to choose between owl weekend (and possibly rice/baylor), prom, and another college weekend. so. uh. yeah. slight problem.

When is Owl Weekend this year? Is it for all admitted students? Trying to plan out the month while waiting for son's decision. Thanks!

All admitted students are invited - it's april 14-16

Skip "Multicultural Celebration Weekend" only because it's called that. That's PC to absurdity.
