Oxford to Emory, making the transition...social life.

I'd like to get input on making the transition and going through the process of making new friends at Emory if you have spent your first 2 years at Oxford.

It seems you'd have the benefit of moving with the whole group of students who went to Oxford with you, but you'd still be moving into the larger group at Emory, who have had the last 2 years to find their crowd. So, in that respect it might feel much like just transferring in from any other school.

For the more introverted student, who might find the Oxford entry to be a good fit, I wonder how that plays out once they make the move to Emory.

Most people make their closest friendships during their first year of college. About 20% all undergraduate students start at Oxford, so I would be afraid of it seeming like transferring. I think that Oxford is a good choice for an introverted students, since people at Oxford are sort of forced up against each other to form close friendships, whereas at the Atlanta campus it’s really easy just to go to class and go home.
