Hey, guys. I’m a Spring Admit at USC. I just registered for classes for January, and I signed up for a yoga class. I obviously don’t need it for anything and it is just for fun.
Does anyone have any insight as to how PE classes are run at USC or in general? I have never done yoga before, but it is something I have wanted to do for a while.
Is the grading hard? Or is it more of a fun if-you-participate-and try-hard-you-get-it type of deal?
I don’t want any unecessary stress, but I would like to do this.
My daughter took that class. The yoga instructor is pretty serious about it. Don’t skip or be late or you’re looking at a C.
How much are you paying for a Yoga class at USC?
ConcertoinD, it is a class with a grade. My financial aid covers up to 18 hours, so it is no additional financial burden
Hmm I thought all 2 unit PE/dance courses were Pass/Fail only
^ Nope, unless that has recently changed.
@ConcertoinD, students can take up to 18 credits per semester. Academic courses (including some dance courses, as USC now has an undergraduate degree in dance) are 4 credits each.
Students usually take 16 credits per semester toward their degree (128 credits needed to graduate). A 2-credit yoga class on top of 16 credits does not add to the cost of USC, and there is a strict limit to how many of this type of class (I believe no more than 2) counts toward graduation credits. Okay now?
