Logged in right at 8am and checked out with the package we wanted within 2 minutes.

Great! Glad to hear it went smoothly. Last year, for returning students, it took about 20 minutes!

Also got Pkg A right at 8am. No problems - much smoother than housing!!

mom2ck, I think the way they did it this year in separating the returning students from the new students really helped. Only 5K logging in at the same time trying to buy instead of 25k+.

Should go just as smoothly for the returning students too since they separated them by class.

SRO,

No doubt about that. I almost had a heart attack trying to get through the housing selection, and we were actually one of the lucky one’s who got through (after repeated error messages) in the first hour the first night. I can’t imagine the stress level that some experienced.

I just hope that the returning student purchasing goes well. A lot more kids will be buying at that point. Yikes. Last year, I had to have two laptops - side by side - to do two kids at the same time.

I think it should. In reality it should be about the same amount of kids logging in at the same time since it’s broken up by class designation. If anything you’d think the freshmen class would have the most students due to dropouts from the previous classes.

Of course there was a lot more availability with the freshmen tickets due to the splitting into packages.

Good luck!!

Wow that was scary. We had trouble getting in for some reason and had to call. It seems we had to log out then back in to actually get to where the packages were. I still dont get it but it seems others had the same issue. My son got the one with the Auburn game since he wont be flying home for Thanksgiving…He will be having a great time instead! ROLL TIDE!

True…I forgot about the different times because of credits taken at Bama.

I logged in right at 8 CST and was placed in a virtual waiting room! Was scared to death, but got on within 5 minutes and got package b!!! My son did not want to miss the Auburn game. Most of my family graduated there, so hugh rivalry!

Son had to wait about 10 minutes to get in, for whatever reason, but then easily got Plan A!

^^

Yes…you’re put in a virtual waiting room (like waiting in line on the phone).

my d is confirmed for package a! was so worried because I forgot about it, was walking the dogs when i remembered and ran home. logged in about 9:30 eastern thinking there wouldn’t be any tickets left and got right in without waiting. have a confirm number and a confirming email, so i am guessing it worked. can’t believe it.

^^^

Seriously…for these kind of things, I have to put reminder notes up where I know I’ll see them when I wake up.

Am I correct in assuming that purchased student tickets are credited into the ACT card? If so, and my son is not able to make some games, would he be unable to sell or give away these unused tickets to other students who may want to attend because these are not actual paper tickets?

Student upgrades affect post-season purchasing opportunities.
After a student upgrades (change a regular student ticket to a student guest ticket) more than 3 times, or half the season, then that student is ineligible to purchase post-season tickets (SEC Championship and bowl game).

Student tickets that go unused affect post-season ticket opportunities and season tickets for 2011 football season.
Once a student has 3 “resets” (unused, non-donated, non-transferred), they immediately become ineligible for post-season tickets for that year. They are also ineligible to purchase tickets for the following year.

Students who gain free access to home games will have their tickets refunded prior to the season.
Students who fall into this category include, but are not limited to, members of the Million Dollar Band, Cheerleaders, SGA block seating, NCAA athletes, and Capstone Men and Women. Once the rosters for these organizations are finalized, students who are members of these organizations will receive refunds for the tickets they have purchased.

Students who have purchased tickets will swipe their ACTion Card at the student gates to gain entrance into Bryant-Denny Stadium for home games.
Once your receive confirmation that your online order has been completed and accepted, the system will automatically transfer the appropriate access to your ACTion Card prior to each game. Students will not receive actual season tickets in August.

You can still sell/give your tickets to other students.
You can sell/give your student ticket to another student by going online to “My Football Ticket” and transferring access to that game to the other student’s ACTion Card.

You can still convert a student ticket to a student guest ticket.
If you want to purchase a student guest ticket, you must stop by the Alabama Ticket Office the week of each home game to convert the ticket. The cost is the face value of the ticket minus $5 (already paid by student). For example, a public ticket for the Ole Miss game is $55. The cost to upgrade to a student guest ticket would be $50. Student upgrades are done Monday thru Thursday during the week of each home game.

Thank you, krazie!

sophocles,

Like was listed in Krazie’s post. Your son can donate his ticket for that weeks game to the ticket bank, he can sell/give it to another specific student and transfer the ticket online.

Also if your son doesn’t have a ticket to that weeks game, he can put his name on the ticket waiting list starting at 6am the Sunday before the game. He can also buy a ticket off another student and have them transfer it to his account.

All transactions are only done for that weeks game starting on the Sunday prior to the next home game.
