Why is it still received but not reviewed???? It has been like this for weeks and now EFT payout is wayyyy too little! Does anyone know what is going on because FinAid office is impossible to reach?

You were supposed to get a signature paper mailed to your house that your parent would have to fill out and then mail back in. Mine came earlier in the week. After that you go to the studentloans.gov site and fill out the MPN. It should fund soon after the paper form is received and the MPN completed.

^ Wow thank you so much for that. Of course my parents didn’t read the instructions that came with the application -___-

But doesn’t the MPN just have to be filled out once? So since my status is “received but not yet reviewed” that means that my parents sent it in but I haven’t fillout out the MPN?

In my case, my parents had an endorser for last years PLUS loan. Therefore, another MPN has to be completed. I think it says that in the instructions.

I think the applications are “in review” now. I just got a call from the office that a signature is missing from mine -____-

I had the same “Required Documents” notification on MyFinAid two days ago. They eventually reviewed the Parent PLUS Loan application. (Now it says “Required Document (0).”) However, my quick statement still has not changed. It still says that my minimum amount due is $1,149.75. So I’m presuming and hoping that it takes a bit more time for the financial aid office to update our CARS statements and such.

One thing I noticed on my Bear Facts is that I am considered a “Registered” student. (You can check your registration status under CARS –> Refund Summary or Personal –> Personal Profile. After doing some research, I found that you are only considered a “Registered” student if your registration fees have been paid, either in full or, if on the Deferred Payment Plan, at least the first installment. (Source: Frequently Asked Questions - Office Of The Registrar).

Since I am not using the Deferred Payment Plan, I assuming that all my fees have been paid through financial aid but it has not yet been updated on BearFacts.

In addition, according to the financial aid website, our refunds should be transferred to our bank accounts starting on the 22nd of August.

I hope this sheds some light on the Parent PLUS Loan issue.
