<p>Unless things change before next year, your 34 ACT with good grades guarantees you a renewable full in-state tuition scholarship at OU (see Gateway Scholarship above). </p>
<p>And despite your concerns about internships, the Honors Tutorial program at OU is very well respected and would open some doors for you. Again, you would appear to be as qualified for the program as any applicant, although acceptance might be far from guaranteed.</p>
<p>If your parents expect you to pay for everything, then this is definitely worth looking into.</p>
<p>On top of that, if you also get into a very selective (“loans-free” for many families) school, your parents may suddenly feel the need to persuade you to go there, at which point the EFC becomes a negotiating figure… “Pay to Sway?” At that point, it wouldn’t hurt that OU is also notorious as a party school.</p>
