This is probably pointless and neurotic since I'm very skeptical on my chances to get into UCLA anyway, but I have a question. I have (or will have) enough AP credits to enter LA with four quarters complete (so a sophomore essentially.) Will that make it more likely for me to get on-campus parking, and if so, how much more likely?

not at all more likely.
you will not get on-campus parking.
UNLESS you are an alumni scholar or regents, or have an off-campus job, or commute from off-campus.

all that they look at is whether you are an undergraduate student and whether you live in the dorms: if you are, and you do, and you're not alumni/regents/working off campus... forget having a car here ;)

there's a page somewhere with a point system for applications, which i can't find at the moment. but you can't even apply without an off-campus job. or as an alternative, you could work for parking services and then you can get a spot (which you still have to pay for).

sure way to get parking: alumni/regents scholar; work for parking services; commuting carpool (theres requirements that determines if its a "valid" carpool. ie: you cant "commute" from your apartment on veteran.)

higher chance of getting parking: off campus commuter (the farther you are, the more likely); have an off campus job (again farther it is, more likely)

very little to no chance of getting parking: on campus resident with no job or on campus job

check UCLA - Transportation & Parking for all details

So I am an alumni scholar, how do I get parking?

Alumni are not guaranteed- they have to have some extenuating circumstance along with it to get the parking points for being an Alumni scholar. Regents automatically get it regardless of any other factors

h8 @ those snotty Regents betches

SAA > ASC :)

i wish i had parking.
