Parking Permit question for Fall 2008-2009

Hi, I'm planning on going to USC in the Fall and I have decided to bring a car with me. I checked out the Trojan Transportation website, but I got confused as to which parking lot I should apply to. Commuter Gold, Cardinal, Carpool, Evening & Parking Center, USC North Housing Campus??

Does anyone have any tips on parking? Thanks! :)

Students living on campus or commuting can buy-
-Gold (all on-campus lots including PS1 and PS2),
-Carpool,
-Evening, or
-Parking Center (the large parking lot farthest away on the other side of the 110 freeway).

Cardinal pass is basically for employees (child care).

After you get your housing assignment, look at the map and find the lot closest to you to buy a Gold pass to that lot. (For example, if you are in New/North, you probably want PSX or PSD). If you want to save money and you don't mind parking a little farther, buy a pass for the Parking Center.

You can go online to register ahead of time so you can see your choices based on your status. You can register without making a commitment.

The lottery is for off-campus USC owned housing. When you register, there will be an option for this if you are in that kind of housing.
