I got the parking results e-mail today telling me they approved my application. They said in order to access the results I have to go to URSA. WELL, that's as specific as they got and I've looked everywhere and don't know where they post them! I'm so frustrated. Does anyone know where you can check your parking results? Thanks.

Go to URSA, and then under the financial section of the URSA menu, click on BruinBill Accounts. Then click Continue, and you’ll see your current account balance. From there, click on view current account balance and you’ll see that you’re now charged for a parking permit. Just click on view details to see which lot you got ;)

Got lot 7. I’m satisfied.

Cool, I got Lot 7 too. Lot 4 was my first choice, but there really isn’t much of a difference I guess and I heard Lot 4 had more traffic…so I’m satisfied too :)

i got denied because I applied for a commuter permit and I live in the 90024 zip code.

I got Lot 11, which is nice because I’m in the dorms so I’m using my car to get away from campus, not to go to class.

kwwboarder- to get a dorm parking permit, you need to have an off campus job or internship. whats your internship?

i got a lot 8 parking permit. i was kinda sad in the morning when i saw that this wasn’t the location i wanted. i just checked again and realized that this was the exact location i wanted. I even started contacting people trying to trade lots with them until I just noticed that I got my desired location. It is perfectly equidistant from my research, my classes, and the hospital.

I have guaranteed parking because of my scholarship.

Anybody know anything about lot DD?

Hey guys; I have one more question regarding parking. If I’m on financial aid and have money left over after I use my disbursements on tuition and housing, is there any way I can use the money to pay off my parking?

I can’t answer your first question. For your second question, yes. After tuition is taken out you get a direct deposit (if you sign up for Bruin Direct, which I recommend doing) for the money left over. Technically after that you can use the money for whatever and if you have enough money after paying for housing you can spend it freely.

DD parking lot is the one behind dykstra next to the Thomas Bradley building. I don’t really know what other info you are looking for, but its the closest parking lot to de neve.

Any financial aid/scholarship money that you are awarded that exceeds your tuition cost is pretty much just spending money. So you can spend it on whatever you want. You can either sign up for bruin direct, or they will just send you a check.

Does anyone know how parking is in Lot 3? Is it busy/ easy to find parking?

Sent from my Droid using CC App

Well now that we are asking about parking 3 I might as well as about parking 7 also. How’s the parking there? Traffic? Horrible? A pleasant experience?

I have been parking there for the past two years. I think it depends largely on time of year / time of quarter / time of day. It’s busier first week and around midterms, but besides that it’s easy to find a spot.

There is very rarely any real traffic that will cause you to take a long time to enter / exit. Also, for 5 out of the 6 quarters that I have parked there, I was always able to find a parking spot within a few minutes, even if it was fairly far away from the elevator / stairs.

However, during fall quarter of this past year, I had an absolutely awful experience. It often took me 15-20 minutes to circle around to find a spot (or to follow someone back to their spot), all while there were about 10 other people doing the same thing.

For whatever reason (raised rates, people forgot to renew/pay, redistribution of permits to different lots), it was not nearly as bad the next quarter, but I was very upset about what had happened. I did pay nearly $200 for the quarter to park, and I was late to class a few times as a result of the situation. This prompted me to do a public records request, and I found out that UCLA transportation sold 2,200 permits for lot 7, when there are only 1,500 parking spaces available there.

^ Wow thank you for the informative post! And that’s annoying about selling over 2k parking permits. Let’s hope this year they learned their lesson and the parking is tolerable. I hope to have a pleasant experience parking there and I really like how it’s located decently in the center of campus so it is somewhat equidistant from everywhere you’d possibly want to go to.

I had lot 3 last fall, and in all honestly, I didn’t like it because 1) it was too far from my classes (unless you’re a north campus major, then you’re literally 1 minute away from your classes); 2) if you didn’t get there by 12pm, your chances of finding parking was pretty much on the roof… thankfully, I changed to lot 4 for winter quarter and think it’s the best lot. I did lot 7 for the session A, and thought it was okay, didn’t have trouble finding parking (obviously, it was summer)… but I still liked parking lot 4 better… it was a tad bit closer to bruinwalk…

I got lot 7 again for the school year even tho lot 4 was my first choice and I’m a senior, too… oh wellllllll.

^Thanks! I’m a geog major so I’ll be hanging around Bunche Hall this coming quarter. I don’t mind the distance I have to walk, just worried if I’m going to be able to get a spot to park. College campuses need more parking! Or provide better alternatives…
