Parking Spots

During the morning hours after 10am, how many A and B spots are available?

The A and B parking lots are everywhere are are open 24/7 if you buy the pass. If your a student, Gilman Parking structure will now NOT host any S parking spaces.

Parking for students will have to park away from campus or fight for the few S spaces left in various college parking lots.

If your commuting, I recommend coming early to find a parking space.

If your a visitor/other, there are plenty of spaces for you to park at Gilman Parking Structure and all the other open parking lots.

How does one get to park in the A spots?

A is for faculty. B is for grad students. S is for undergrad students. There are plenty of A and B spots all over campus, but there is a real shortage of S spots. Hence why most people complain about UCSD parking.

If you’re a student, GOOD LUCK trying to get an A pass- it would be essentially impossible unless you have a parent/relative who works at UCSD and doesn’t want their pass (everyone can only buy one)

Staff buy B spots; only faculty/administration get A

My uncle has an A pass he doesn’t need and he’s giving it to me. He’s a postgrad donator. I’m more concerned about the probability of a permit check or so.

I have a few question:

My sister will be at the med school for the next month doing a rotation there. So I was wondering… even though she’ll be there for a month can she still buy a parking pass for the entire year?

And also, how long is the year long pass? I see something next to it saying something about it being prorated on the 1st and 16th month
