Part Mexican?!

<p>So I probably shouldnt be posting this on a penn thread, but eehh.</p>

<p>I'm asian american and my great-grandfather's mother only on my mother's side was mexican.
Does this make me part hispanic too? like at least 1/32 mexican? </p>

<p>Can i still check that box off in the common app that says "If you wish to be identified with a particular ethnic group, please check all that apply"</p>

<p>i don't want to check it and then get rejected for having lied..haha</p>

<p>No, you have to be 1/8 part of said race to put it on your application. If you did that, they'd kick you out if penn accepted you.</p>
