party of people applying next year!

A party for seventh graders applying next year, eighth, ninth, tenth and eleventh graders who are doing the same, and any random person who was lucky enough to be admitted to an awesomistic school, or just wants to party! Yay!

YAY!

APPLICANTS FOR FALL 2010, FTW! :)

has anybody noticed that acceptance rates for these schools have been steadily falling? if andover’s already at 16.6%… oh dear.

Depends. A good year if you do not need financial aid.

LOL

… i need full aid.
i sincerely hope to GOD that the economic crisis is over by then… D: or at least, better. somehow…

Well…it won’t be any worse than now. And look at it this way…Me, Saer and Tom(people I know needed significant FA) all needed pretty much full FA. And got it, so it’s not impossible…if they want you enough they’ll pay for you. Goodluck for next year!

I need aid too! -quiver-

But thank you, mcpicz-- and congrats!

Cool! Nice, jasmyn!

Ok. Now lets get to the party! I’ll bring the chips, someone else bring soda. ANy volunteers?

Lol. I’m sooo excited about applying next year, but sort of scared too-- things seem to be getting worse. :(

Jasmyn,

Congratulations on your Exeter acceptance.

Phenomenal job well done!

im applying next year. this year i got waitlisted at hotchkiss :(

Next year, next year, I love ya o next year, you’re only a YEAR AWAYYYYY!!

Join the party, gray_hotchkiss! Next year is going to be the best ever! And if people didn’t get my odd little bit up there-- it’s tomorrow from annie!

applying as a freshman next year as well :)

Blargh. Chances are, I won’t get to apply for boarding schools next/this (??) year, because my mom isn’t really happy with the idea. My dad is, but in my household influence goes mom > dad. ._.

I’m still begging my mom since the public high schools around here are ridiculously underfunded and overcrowded but… Good luck to you guys anyways!

ahhh, good luck to you all!!!
mar. 10, 2010 will come sooner than you think!!!

you all should apply to exeter ;)

thanks, haha you got it!
and for some reason i find it very hard thinking i have a chance to get in at exeter…im applying to andover i think though…i have a long way to go though im just like really really excited!

But if you think you’re good enough for Andover, surely you must be Exeter-worth, too? (This is totally unbiased btw, I’m just saying that both schools have… similar, er, selectivity…??)

Unless you’re like, a legacy at Andover, or something… =)

Or unless they need FA.
Remember, Andover is need-blind.

yeh i am a legacy at andover…
i always saw exeter as a very WORKWORKWORK school (i might be wrong)
andover seems a little more laid back…
and as i said i have alot of time to decide

I applied to SPS and Exeter twice and i got into sps the second time w/ full FA so its definitely worth it to apply again to any places that didnt work out this year.

and i have a lot of friends at exeter and they do say its a lot of work, but definitly so is andover so i would at least order a view book from exeter just to see if ure interested. and u do have a lot of time so no worries! :)

I’m applying for Exeter this year.
I can’t wait till March 10 2010

I’m applying next year too! Exeter AND Andover (and a few others). :D

Any suggestions for other schools to apply to?
(So far I’m also considering Deerfield, Hotchkiss, Choate, Loomis, Middlesex…)

Does it make a difference if you are Christian (or religious at all) in SPS?
Are Loomis, Choate, and Middlesex significantly lower tier than Exeter/Andover?

Thanks! :)
