Its pretty cool that you are really involved in the process and so early.
Best of Luck Class of 2013!

I'm going to be class of 2012, but I'm still narrowing down my list of schools to apply to (: I'll post here when it's finalized.

I second what Aussie said. Get informed early!

Yeah, it's rather cool, but mostly just nerve wracking. I feel like doing something RIGHT this minute, and it's only July, and useless, and gahh, going crazy!

How are you guys holding up, waiting to start?

I'm going to start as a Junior, but here are my schools nonetheless. :)

Exeter (first choice)
Groton (second choice tied)
St. Pauls School (second choice tied)
The Hill School
Wasatch Academy (It's close to home, easy travel.)
Andover
Hotchkiss
Governor's School
and
Middlesex

Well, at least those are the ones I requested info for. I requested the info all within a two day span. I can't wait to go check the PO Box we have soon. It's going to be packed since we check once a week to once every two weeks. :)

I'm going insane waiting for thapplications. I really want to start applying. I especially want Exeter to release eir applications for 2009-2010.

I know, I know, me too! I'm going crazy! Thank god someone else is too--- I know Im not completely nutty! Don't you want tojust do somethign completely boarding schooly? Exeter, exeter! I love it SO much! I want to applyyyy!

personally i think this year has more sophmore applicants on cc than last year :D
as far as i could tell, march 10 results were only posted by like 3 rising sophmores
now there are at least 5, i'm pretty sure. more power to '12!

tubachick you have some schools that i'm also applying to as well (sps, hill, and middlesex) but i guess there's no "competition" cuz we're on different grade levels. but still good luck, to you and all the other people applying :)

I know what you mean, I asked for information from schools in May! They could only send me last years viewbooks but they did promise they would send the applications and up to date information in September...so it's just a waiting game from here.

Also, I think that it's at least 10 sophomore applicants on CC...which kind of scares me, so much more competition!

yeah. wow. i inquired at like march so i got all the viewbooks from last year and i think the schools considered me more of a late applicant LOL

true, competition isn't fun =/ but except for really a/e/sps/choate, not too many people appy to the same schools. or at least for me that's true :D

who else is applying for ninth grade, at choate, exeter, sps, deerfield, lawrenceville or groton?

tubachick,
you cant really apply early for exeter,
they make you fill out a AIF or something (applicant information form)
and they didnt put that up until november last year,
so you might have to wait a bitt longer ;]
but you can do your essay and teacher recs whenever you want :]

Good Luck!!!!
To Class Of 2013 And Some Of My Future Classmates Of 2012!!!

Look At Choate!!!
:)

yeah! maybe if I get into choate, you'll be a soph and I'll be a prep!

Ha. I was meanign I wish I could apply early.

Doesn't Exeter change their essays every year? I can't start on teach recs yet, because I need my sophomore teachers and school here has yet to start. UUHHHHGGG. I wish it would hurry up. I want the smell of torn text books and bubble gum stuck to the bottom of the desks again. (I go to a poor high school. :)) Of course, I'd easily give all that up for Exeter. :)

choate is pretty awesome... tho u have to tell me, once you get there, if its AMAZING

Gah... I both want school to start and dread beginning school. My school here in China is total cut-throat, high-pressure insanity, but I want to see my classmates and teachers again! Then again, I still seem to have a PILE of unfinished homework and uh... 5 books to read for Chinese class. Yikes.

I'm applying as a soph too! I guess I'll post my list of school later--I'm still working on it.

runs off to do homework

tubachick-- omg, me too!

I am 100% obsessified with exeter, and as for this year, I just can't wait to get back to school. I miss it! Call me a geek, but I'm sick of summer! Anyway, Exeter is AMAZING. I am dyiiing to go there.
