<p>What about parties at SB? Are there a lot of fun nights. Are there bars where you can hang out?</p>
<p>yeah there are alot of fun times. there are big parties maybe once every two weeks at either the sports teams houses or the frat houses, unfortunately which are both off-campus, so you will need to find a ride. the parties are better in the fall though. </p>
<p>there are local 18+ bar/clubs to go to such as shamrocks which is one stop away on the train, the bench/fullmoon cafe which might be reopening in the fall which is walking distance away (right across from the train tracks), myst which is a nicer club in stonybrook, and bamboo bernies which is a common bar on saturdays because of there 25 beer till 12 special. all the other bars everyone goes to on thursdays. </p>
<p>the parties in the dorms are usually small and just with friends, normally the only open parties are in the west apartments.</p>
<p>agreed, fall parties tend to be much better, as students aren't as exhausted from a previous semester's worth of work:)
You can get rides in front of the Student Activities Center at night to go to some parties, but usually no rides back.</p>
