i had posted this before but i did not get any proper answers...so here goes again.

my sat 1 score is good : 2290 (math+cr 1550)
im in the top 1% of my class academically
my recos and essays are very good
my Ecs are also very good.
the problem is my sat 2. these are my scores- math 2=780, math1=720 (i dont know how !!), chem=620 and literature=610(again...i am amazed !)

so do how important do u think sat 2 is ? my intended major is neither science/literature. do u think i still have a chance ? do u know anyone who was not an athlete to have gotten in with sat 2s like these ?

i'm really nervous. Any comments will be highly appreciated.

My guess is that SAT IIs don’t matter TOO much in the admissions process. I know people who have gotten similar scores and still got in to places like Cornell, Yale, Penn, and Dartmouth. Everything else looks very good, so I still think you have a strong shot.

the SATIIs can only help you. those are great scores so i woulndt worry. the rest of your application is probably great. good luck!

why did you take 4 SAT IIs?

I took math 2 and chem because i though i could ace them. when i realized that i couldn’t. i thought i’ll do literature because i din’t feel like studying for another science subject. and i took math I just in case there ARE some colleges (like brown and penn) that accept both math1 and math2 as 2 subject test scores.
