Sorry for the cross-post, I initially put this in the wrong place. OK, this has probably been answered a thousand times somewhere but I can't for the life of me find it, so please bear with me...

Student takes the SAT and reports the score to his four "free" schools,

Student then takes SAT2 and reports to four different "free" schools - do these four schools get a copy of the SAT2 scores AND the prior SAT scores?

So when all is said and done test-wise, and one pays to have scores reported to a given school, are all the scores sent or do you have to pay separately for SAT2?

Additionally - for the schools that received the first-round "free" reports, do we have to pay again to have the 2nd round (better) SAT sent?

I’m being a little facetious here but you can guess the answers to your questions by answering this simple question; which way would College Board make the most money?

When you send a set of scores to a school, all the scores (both SATs and SATIIs) up to that point will be sent. If you use score choice, only the scores you choose will be sent. No future scores will be sent even if you have paid for certain scores to be sent to certain schools. You must pay again to send additional scores.

^ Thanks! just the info I was looking for. So it makes absolutely no sense to send any test scores (except the “free” ones) until you’re finished completely and can just pay once to have them all sent.

I think you are right. My son will take SATII in June after a couple of SATs, we probably use those 4 free ones in June and send them to some of the safety/match schools that my son think he will apply in the Fall.
