<p>I got an offer from another similar school ($8500 better than what PC is offering) and was wondering if Providence College would match it if I sent an appeal letter to the aid office? Their website has information about writing appeals if family circumstances have changed a lot, but I really just can't afford to pay $8500 more per year. Has anyone ever appealed with a competing offer?</p>
<p>My D also received offers from similar schools that make a huge $ difference in the decision. I plan to reach out to them to see if there is any consideration on their part. I not expecting a change, but it is high on my D list and worth a try.</p>
<p>Same - PC is my first choice but I have a feeling PC will not be able to give me $8500 more to match it, but we’ll see. I think I’ll probably end up at the other school because the cost is so much greater per year at PC 
I’ll just hope for the best :)</p>
<p>S (and mom and dad!) trying to decide between PC and Loyola. At first glance Loyola looks more affordable, but when you add in the anticipated cost of pay as you go food plan, it narrows the gap.</p>
