HA! Trouble!?! That is an understatement. Waiting is the hardest aspect and not a minute goes by when I do not think of colleges.

Wow, I feel really dumb. All of you have spectacular stats. BTW, I'm premed at NYU. What about you guys?

kkl230, same here. There are loads of overachievers (I do not necessarily mean it in a bad way) in cc. Though my gpa isn't anywhere near disastrous (3.71), it's practically negligible compare to others here.

I am earnest in attempting to mollify the anxiety induced by these high GPAs, and maintaining a skeptical attitude toward these numbers is, I find, the best coping mechanism; if you look at some of the courses some students are enrolled in, you must wonder how they can not earn a 4.0. In other words, if you see a 4.0, look at the courses the student is enrolled in before feeling anxiety:)

nspeds is right. It may be prudent to say that liberal art majors are RELATIVELY easier to get a higher GPA at the introductory level (comparing to engineering/science).

the best mental protection against the current situation is just to get drunk, get high, get stupid, get sex, get whatever that's not related to college.

I am waiting to hear from H, Y and Gtown. I won't speak about my grades since some people find it offending on this board. By the end of April I will have 69 credits for transfer :) And this waiting is KILLING me!
Oh btw H, Y and Gtown do not require midterm grades right?

By the way, answering someone's question earlier... I'm engineering / physics / math at the University of Florida (Still undecided between the three... taking classes in all three disciplines).

-Eddie-

<edit> Sorry if my posting grades was offensive to anyone, I merely posted because the question came up in a previous post.</edit>

Blackdream you are my new favorite person

heh, but it works though. as long your grades don't start falling.

Personally, I am pretty much entangled in school, and i read about random subjects (Yes I am going to get started on logic), so there is no time for me to worry about those.

I check admission site (UCSD) about one or two times a day, other sites about once a week.

Most importantly, I been through a highly anticipated process with total failure (rejection from EVERY school i've applied). So i learned not to care about it.

I've had experiences similar to that extent, but still I just can't not care about all the work, energy and anticipation that I dedicated to the entire application process.

Eddie,

The comment about grades was not directed at you. Feel free to share and comment your achievements, grades, stress, etc etc...I don't mind... One of the posters (earlier this week) thought I was "rubbing it in" by posting my grades... I am in strict "grade celibate" till the decisions come out :D

nspeds, I agree that would be the logic thing to do. But still 4.0 is a 4.0, especially in such a number heavily oriented world of reality that we all live in.

Just to clear up, I do not consider anyone in this thread offensive in any ways.

same thing here. Your 4.0s only motivate me to get one for myself. But hopes of a 4.0 is not possible, unless.....

I transfer, my GPA would reset to 0.0 hehe, then I can aim for that 4.0.

reset to 0.0 hehe

LOL kkl230 :D

Got the Ivy decisions I was waiting for.

Cornell: Rejected
Penn: Accepted

::Shakes fist at Cornell:: >_<

Hmm...
When did you hear? Are you a transfer applicant? To which programs did you apply to at each school?

Look on the bright side, at least u got into Penn. Oh and congratulations!

Thanks! First choice anyway :-p

Transfer applicant to SAS @ Penn and CAS @ Cornell.
Found out just now.

Wow... they started evaluating already? Uh-Oh... better rush those mid-years

-Eddie-

Congrats by the way... I'm sure you deserve all of the success.

Care to share your stats and school?

If you don't its okay...

I'm assuming you got your decisions via the online status page?

EDIT: please pardon me for my, umm, anxiety =)
