good luck wangatang!

how happy would you be if you got into at least Wharton?! i would be so stoked

Minkus: Really?
The way I see it, he writes the essays, takes the tests and gets the grades.
I can write an email now and then.
Congrats on getting into Wharton.

Honestly, i don’t think it’s that big of a deal. I mean, we are all extremely busy and writing another email is out of the way for most of us. I would rather spend my 30 minutes writing that email studying for a test coming up.

AVHS Dad, don’t fret. It’s not worth it. Best of luck to your son.

hopeful: Thanks. No worries. Best of luck with your deferral.

minkus: Sincerely, congrats on Wharton.

Good luck to you noobs who didnt apply ED ;)

3:00:00pm April 1st, 2010 !!!

…btw i didnt get my pennportal account till about 3 weeks after applying

hopeful: i would probably be so excited that i would do several dances, jump up and down, and scream so that everyone in my neighborhood can hear me lol

Yeah, mine would be pretty close to that too! I would probably just grin and run around my neighborhood yelling, " i’m going to illadelph! i’m going to illadelph!!!"

hahahaha illadelph? thats a new one. i think i’ll be smiling so much, my face would probably hurt lol but hey now lets not get ahead of ourselves. i told myself to expect a rejection so i wouldnt be disappointed…

Illadelph’s an album by the roots. They’re a really good rap band from Phili.

I am expecting rejection. I have a 28 ACT. :(

unfortunately i’m also expecting a rejection, it’s sad but realistically, my unweighted GPA of 3.4 is simply abysmal for Ivy standards. Hopefully, a 1550/2300 on the SATs, 34 on the ACTs, 200-300 hours of volunteering, and leadership position in two school clubs will slightly cover for it.

Though of course, an acceptance would be just wonderful

hopeful: no worries mate no worries. there definitely are people who have that score and get in. good luck!

Yeah, I’m pretty sure an otherwise good application will cover for stats
I mean, those aren’t terrible anyway; they may not be as good as the usual applicant but they’re good enough haha!
People who write robotic essays, have unfocused-looking ECs, and are completely stereotypical applicants (read: me) have it much worse, from what I can discern… I normally wouldn’t complain, but I’m in a bad mood because I MISSED STANFORD SCEA’S 5000TH POST. Maaaaan.

I have a good app ( minus gpa, a bit low but really hard classes) but still… that act score is killin me. and i really don’t think many get in with these numbers, who knows

Hi guys, i hope you don’t mind my introduction in caps, because i was just sitting there, going through the forums, and suddenly this bubble of happiness just arose from me upon the realisation that i no longer have to subject to the tortures of college applications!

:) :)

edit: i guess you guys don’t like caps on here? i feel like you’re deflating my enthusiasm… oh well

Hopeful: dont fret im in the same position… ACT is 30 and right now 4 Bs which will probably increase to 5 with this semester. we will get in!

4 Bs, ever? hahaha. Yeah… i have a lot more than four on my transcript…

haha canary its ok. we were thinking about you, dont worry!

animalcollective: i dont know. i’ve had the same problem with caps on this website. sometimes you can do it; sometimes you cant. its weird

hopeful: i just saw your chance thread. you play tennis?! so do i!!! i dont know why i’m so excited… lol

Location: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardly '14

@animalcollective - It’s *wizardry mate, not wizardly. Might want to fix that before someone calls you a muggle ;p

does upenn require a mid year report?!?!
