<p>Penn admitted 34% last month. The average SAT for admits was 1413 and the ED admits will make up ~48% of the class of 2009…</p>

<p>Did ANYONE on this forum get deferred from Penn ED with an SAT I score in the 1450-1600 range?</p>

<p>there were plenty of kids from my school who got rejected/deferred from Penn ED with super high SATs...two kids who had 1500 + got deferred, and four others who had 1400+ got rejected...this year seems like a crazy year for college admissions =(</p>

<p>Yeah. . .all my schools have shown significant increases in applications, sat averages, and overall quality of the applicant pools. What a year to apply, eh?</p>

<p>my friend had 1500 4.0----rejected....a few ppl with 1530s and HIGH class rank got deferred....its random AND hard to get in</p>

<p>Are you part American Indian (even 1/16!)? NO</p>

<p>Did either of your parents attend Penn? NO </p>

<p>Will you play a Div I sport for Penn? NO</p>

<p>Was you essay great? Obviosly NOT.</p>

<p>Were your recs excellent? Obviously NOT.</p>

<p>Did you apply to Penn's less selective colleges: Nursing/Engineering? NO</p>

<p>Did you go to a school that ranked you? If so, what was your rank?</p>

<p>Even 1/16 Native American? Really? Or are you being facetious? I'm 1/8 Native American, and I'd feel silly putting that on my application as I don't look it. Plus, my last name isn't "Bear" or something.</p>
