Penn ED and October SAT

So I will probably take the SAT in october and I am bent on ED. How will this work? Will I know my score before I send it?

The best thing to do is send it with the free score report you get with the test so it gets there quickly. You will not know your score but that doesn’t matter because Penn requires (in theory) that you send all of your test scores.

Er, I’d rather pay money and know my score before I send it… is that possible?

I believe you can wait to state your “free” choices until the score comes in. If you go on the SAT website, it should show dates of everything. Plus there is a “rush service” if you want to do it. Just go and poke around…

You’re going to have to pay to rush your scores then. You can change your free score reports only for a certain time after the test. If you rush them they should get them in time, I think you are also allowed to rush November scores. Are you retaking the test? If you are and have above a 2100 with all subscores at or above 700 I would highly recommend that you don’t because I highly doubt that it would make any difference. Once you are above 700 on each part they know that you’ve only missed a few questions so they look at other parts of your applications. Once you get to college you’ll realize how silly it is to stress over the last 200 points on the SAT.
