Penn Freshman up for questions

So I noticed that a lot of people on this board are choosing between Penn and other schools. I was in your position last year and I remember really wishing I had someone to talk to that would just give me honest advice.

I wanted stories, not facts about numbers of students or how many award-winning professors there were.

Anyway, just thought I'd put out an offer to talk. My AIM screen name is shoeflydbm87, or you can PM me. Hope to hear from some of you!!!!

If your interested..I'm in M&T (Wharton/Engineering), and last year some of the other schools I was choosing between were MIT, Carnegie Mellon, Harvard, and NYU. Not gonna lie, I think I'll always wonder "what if" but I can definitely say that I'm happy here.

Hurrah for the red and the blue =)

What campus are you at? Doesn't UPenn have a ton of different campuses?

lol that's PENN STATE. U Penn is an private school in the Ivy League, and its only campus is in Philadelphia.

Honestly.

:) sorry, it's a pet peeve of mine when people don't know the difference. Penn State is a good school, but confusing it with UPenn is just unthinkable!

How is the atmosphere? Intellectual? Accepting of differences? Ready to explore new ideas? I get the impression that students are sort of preprofessional and sophisticated there. Maybe I'm wrong. In the past, my three top choices were U Chicago, Barnard, and Penn, so I wonder. Ended up ED at Chicago.

What are you majoring in? and what do you think of the school so far?
