So...I figure I should totally post a random, kinda-related comment: I think I would want to shoot myself if I ever became a million/billionaire and end up with spoiled kids like that on the sweet16 show...

I don't see what would be wrong with one of the Ivies defining the diversity of its student body by the types of designer clothes they wear. Obviously, you can't just judge a book by its fashionable cover, but it sure helps, like on MTV or the OC. lol

you guys seems to be talking about trendy stuff

preppy is serious business. docksiders, light khakis, lacoste and polo shirts

Its pretty much what fills my closet, though i dont pop the collar, I have my fair share of pink and yellow shirts

Though there are a lot of people who dress "preppy" and aren't snobby, arrogant, etc (at least at my school, granted there are plenty who are too)

pretty much proper attire for males at my school (and that hart guy from MTV would have fit right in at my school, hahahah)

ehh, prada is just the poor person's chanel (or so my mom jokingly says)

wow... um, a lot of people, er, can't afford $300 wallets... i have the money but i don't want to spend it on that... get some books, clothes, movies, etc (a lot more stuff vs. tiny wallet).

True...people that try to be ghetto even though they have money is called "Reverse Snobbism".

Psh reverse snobbish... ugh, it's just idiotic in my opinion.

This reminds me of a line from "The Osbournes" where Sharon once had on a black hoodie and she put the hood on her with some sunglasses and she was like "Kelly, don't I look poor?" and Kelly was like, "Mom, you look real ghetto with your Fendi sunglasses and Prada purse." (I'm not a fanatic, it's just one of those weird and unnecessary things that I remember).

reverse snobbism...***? there's a term for that now?

Actually the term has been around since the 1980's.

A lot of "Frat Rats" try pull it off...Usually it comes out looking like they have low IQ's instead of a fashion statement.

lol..."frat rats"
