@1008ryan There is no April 1st date for Penn State as there are with some other schools.
If you apply by November 30, you hear by Jan 31st…apply by January 31st and you hear by February 28th and after January 31st then they get decisions out within about 6 weeks.
My D has had the same “reviewing credentials” status since early September, and I’ve found through CC that she’s not alone! The good news is, all of the “what ifs” will be answered soon.
Congratulations on your acceptance! Did you get your letter before the status changed on the portal? Or did you not check the portal?
@PSUGradMom Not here. It’s so frustrating. I was hoping that with historical evidence pointing to acceptances around this time, that we would be seeing a lot of activity in the decisions thread. But instead, it’s just a lot of people wondering when their status is going to change! My D is having anxiety like maybe they lost her application or something - I told her that’s just the anxiety and that many (most?) applicants haven’t heard yet. I keep seeing acceptances posted on Twitter, but I think a lot of those are branch campus acceptances. A few yesterday were for UP for Architecture. I’m really confused about the update times…They told us it’s once a day overnight. But I’ve seen posts on CC where the status changed in the evening, overnight, morning and afternoon! Just as with everything in this process - no rhyme or reason! Well - we HAVE to be nearing the end, right?
Nerves… I have them. :-?? I saw in her email on the 15th that she was sent info from PSU on an engineering scholarship opportunity specific to Penn State, but she hasn’t been accepted yet. I’d like to believe that is a good sign - but still can’t help feeling that the longer we wait, the lower the chances of good news. Considering sending out a couple of her other college apps in the hopes of triggering some mysterious “Murphy’s Law” phenomenon.
