I messed up big time. I let my freshman and sophomore grades kinda slip by. (There is improvement from freshman t sophomore though) I have a 2.7 not weighted and a 2.9 weighted with those combined. (Sophomore is currently a 3.0 weighted) Junior year I plan to make my combined GPA at least a 3.0. I also took a practice ACT and was predicted to get a 26, and to be completely honest I probably could have done better on it.
I was in activities like Marching Band for two years , Volunteer teaching middle schoolers French Horn, I can play 3 instruments, French Horn, Mellophone, and Tenor Saxophone, I plan to do tennis and DECA my junior and senior year, and will have 5 credits of French by the time I graduate, and take 2 AP classes.
Is there any chance I can get in? If not what other colleges should I consider. Thanks
I’m sorry but I don’t think you chances are that great, however I would look into the 2+2 if I were you
To get into Penn State Main campus, assuming you are from Pennsylvania, your GPA is well below to average accepted to main campus, which is a 3.57-3.95. I would up your standardized test scores as well. ACT should be at least a 28 for a chance at University Park. Your extracurriculars are alright, but I think you have a better shot at a satellite campus for 2 years first.
