I got into these two places and I know that they both have strong enginnering programs.
Which one should I go????? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

Personally, I'd take VTech over PSU simply because it's smaller. However, I have a very close friend of mine who is going to PSU for enginnering. It's a toss up. Look more into other aspects of the schools that interest you.

I remember hearing somewhere (it may have been when we visited VT) that the engineering majors are taking 5 years to graduate because of problems scheduling the required courses. I'm not sure if it's true, but you might want to check it out. My d was accepted to both for architecture and she's going to PSU. We are from PA.

Jelda, are you a guy, or girl , and what state

guy, international

oh , id say penn state, tuition isnt different then. My dad had the samme issue, international, chose psu, loved it.

y penn state for international??

idk why, but all im saying is my old man went there and loved the diversity.

how about Penn State, does it take 5 years to graduate for engineering?

It takes 5 years to graduate from engineering at PSU. That's what the students told us at engineering day last year, & we know at least 3 engineers that are taking 5 years. We didn't hear that at VT, so our son chose VT. We only know 1 student engineer at VT, but he did graduate in 4 years.

there is one big difference,, their national rankings..
penn state - 48th
virginia tech - 74th

is national ranking really matter??!?

Dude honestly, Penn State and VT engineering are very very comparable. Their engineering rankings are evidence. However, if youre looking at the quality of the school overall, including liberal arts studies, PSU would be better. If you KNOW that you want to do something related to the Math or Sciences, I would definitely go to VT...but I AM biased :)
