I'm in a community college right now, hoping to transfer there in 2 years. The thing is, UCLA is 2 minutes away from where I live...How can I use my location to my advantage?

I seriously live so close by that I pass UCLA every day, surely there is something I can do to possibly increase my chances of going there? maybe participate in something they have on campus, etc?

any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks

Nope, there's nothing to do. Just do well at your CC. Honestly, i didn't even have any extra curricular activities before I transferred. I did work almost full time, however. I'm in engineering, BTW.

All that matters is having a high enough GPA and great essays to get accepted. I mean, it's not as crazy as freshmen admissions, right? IIRC, I've met people that transferred with a ~3.2 GPA to L&S and someone that had a ~3.5 GPA for EE. Might need a higher GPA for one of the more competitive majors?
