i can't believe they actually exist. i mean how hard can it be to graduate from HIGH SCHOOL. two people did not graduate from my school and its not like its a bad inner city school or anything like that so there's really excuse. i don't get it!

well, people with detrimental situations sometimes can't. they have other things that are more important. such as tending to an ailing single mother. taking care of a child (teen pregnancy).

my sister didn't graduate. she dropped out of hs when she was 16. and we live in the suburbs. but stuff happens, life gets crazy, and sometimes you have to take a different path. i nearly didn't graduate. i was taking an online course, and i finished right at the deadline. if i missed the deadline, i would've dropped out, gotten my ged, and gone to college anyway. oh, and my family is 100% korean. there are exceptions to everything.

Someone in my class just dropped out this year, at 16, to pursue a career in music (he is stunningly talented and highly dedicated). He's smart, but academics isn't as high a priority for him. I can't say I would have done the same in his position, but from what I hear a record deal is on the way and he seems to be doing well.

some ppl don't care about ed. others have some unfortunate issues outside of school that need to be handled. sometimes it's hard to concentrate when you know there's nothing to eat at home or you can't pay your rent and you'll get kicked out and live in the streets. Life is tough.
