Anyone out there ?

not me. well not yet..haven't taken the SATs..i hear that some dude called ivychan on this forum got a perfect score..lucky him

I'm pretty sure they must have had 2350-2400 on practice tests...

2300 is average, at least for CC.

um no its not uttaresh. average here i would say is like 2100. Cause there's all these people here who get 800 M, 700 WR, 600 CR.

depends on what practice tests you're using, really. The BB tests are the most accurate but they only have ranges, so taking the highest in the range is a really generous curve.

2300 definitely isn't even close to the average on CC. I'd say the average on CC is about 2050-2150.

Depends what part of CC you're talking about. If you're talking about just the people that use the SAT Prep section, I'd say about 2000 is the average. If you're talking about all high schoolers that use CC I'd say closer to 1800.

2300 is 99.5+ percentile.

easy on uttaresh guys, i think he was just making a humorous exaggeration

Anyone with a 2100+ got any advice?

I got a 2100 but I'm looking for more :p

taking a course really helped me. but you have to make sure its a good one.

I got a 2400 on the last practice test or two before I took it, things really clicked for me around then. Before that it was much lower, maybe from 2100-2300. But I don't put much stock in practice tests, I don't think practice and play are really the same and I always step it up a few gears when it's time to hit the fan. A lot of it, honestly, is just staying calm and hungry. Do whatever you must to stay calm and focused that one Saturday morning and do not do anything remotely stressful the preceding Thursday or Friday.

Practice tests mean little. I've gotten as low as 2100 and as high as a perfect 2400 on practice tests I've done recently. It all depends on your mindset while taking the test, at a certain point the SAT is just psychological it's not about knowing or not knowing something.

Thank you... :)

Obviously I know 2300 is rare.

Yeah, I guess you're right... I get so nervous when it comes to tests... That's a problem.. I score about 2300+ in practice tests from the BB... And I want to get 2400, but I dont think It's possible cause eventually I'll panic...Any advice for that ? lol

I know I was getting 2350 in the BB tests, and I DID panic and leave 4 math questions for no apparent reason...

I'll probably be getting ~700 on Math, even though I have 770 on Math IIC. Weird, huh?

So yeah, it's very important to keep your cool.

Ouch, are you gonna retake utta?

tariqx: Some people just aren't good test takers, they can't stay calm under time constraints and pressure. As unfortunate as it is I'd say that you will just have to learn to live with it. I'm sure people will tell you something along the lines of "practice makes perfect", which may very well be true, but it isn't something I think is very realistic in this case. However, the worst thing you can do is to give up.

Yeah I know a lot of people that panic when testing time comes. For some reason I actually feel I did better on the real one than any practice test though. And to the op, a 2400 is an 800 in three sections, which requires not only intelligence but also endurance and a little luck in some cases. Seriously though, I highly doubt that info from people who got 2400's will help you any more than other advice on this forum.
