Personalized Letters?

I was wondering if schools sent personalized letters to every applicant. Some were just Christmas cards, but some were long and looked legit. Does this mean they're really interested in me? I was just wondering, because I don't want to make myself feel special if this is the norm.

I got a really long christmas letter from my interview letter too. Either were both special or it means nothing. But I would stay on the safe sides of things and not get your hopes up.

they are just "standard"

i got one too so...

I'm sorry to crush your hopes again, but I will say this only because I'm on CC.
I work in the admission office, and I've had to write some of those cards, pretending I'm the interviewers......
Once again, only a personal experience. I'm sure some of you guys received fantastic letters from real interviewers who were genuinely interested in you and hoping you'd come to their school. But yes.... admission office can be a tricky thing.

Haha, I got an email from Andover and Choate. It means something, but not everything, and maybe even nothing.

"Welcome to the machine." :-)

Everyone gets them.
