Hey, does anybody know what the residence hall pet policy is at Scripps? I found this information for the other 5-C schools in their student handbooks, and searched past Scripps handbooks but was unable to find anything. In other words, would a non-venemous, silent, tree frog in a 10-gallon aquarium go over well? Thanks.

The animal policy is on page 51 of the Guide to Student Life

basically, you’re allowed to have birds or fish. Though I think a silent frog is much less obnoxious than a bird. You could just… not invite the RA into your room…

Oops… I guess I missed that part of the handbook. Hmmm. Interesting. Thanks!

When I was a student we could have any animal that could live in a cage and didn’t have fur (and birds, with special permission), as long as your roommate was okay with it. My freshman year roommate’s legal pets were two large lizards who lived together in one large cage on her dresser.

I also knew a few people who hid pocket pets such as hamsters and rats… and even a girl with a cat! :0

I low-key REALLY want to find a roommate that would be willing to either own a mouse, rat, or snake in our room…

And I like the idea of not inviting RA over much haha
