Can you rank these pharmacy schools in order from best to worst? Based on your opinion, their rankings, quality of education, campus, pharm program, and experiences...

Schools: Northeastern, URI, UConn, MCPHS, Rutgers, Albany College of Pharmacy, St. Johns...

Thank you!!(:

I’m trying to decide which one should be my first choice… I’m leaning towards Northeastern.

I believe you are applying to 0-6 pharmacy programs.
Although I am no expert, I can say that except MCPHS, I have heard good reviews of all other pharmacy schools.
I can only say you about Rutgers: 1) It’s in the pharmaceutical hub of NJ 2) Largest internship and post-graduate residency program of all pharmacy schools in US 3) An intelligent student body 4) Check out their pharmacy honors program.

Northeastern is also a good choice! And also have a look at University of Sciences in Philadelphia(USP).

I am no expert in the pharmD programs. But you should check out the individual college section on cc to see if there is any thing interesting. I read a long thread in The Rutgers section on cc talking about the 0-6 pharm program in detail, including the student lifes.

Search on google, you will find rankings of pharmacy schools. U of Buffalo also ranked high in the NE.

It is hard for those outside of the pharmacy world to rate these schools. I suggest looking at the student doctors network forum, especially under the high school forum and pre pharmacy for threads. We looked at a lot of schools this year and it was surprising to see that not all “good” schools had “good” programs.
I always encourage those involved in 06 pharmacy to look at early assurance schools and to shadow a pharmacist. It is not a profession for everyone, and with all the new pharmacy schools that have or will open in the next few years, the profession is not the cash cow it once was. It is a great profession, but not for everyone.

Thank you for all the information everyone!

MizzBee, thank you for introducing me to the SDN forum. There is a lot of good information there under pre-pharmacy.
