lights_out, I work at Stop & Shop, aka Giant aka Landover in other parts of the country.

ok cool.

i would absolutely loveeee to work at A&F!!! the thought of those discounts make me faint haha. but like i said 20 minutes of driving = gas money which isnt going to be worth the money I'll be making there. so no clothing stores for me :(

i never thought about the 'lonely' vs social. i figured with rite-aid i would have more chill time aka just sit at the register and like read a magazine lol. but idk maybe iwould rather actually be doing something at a grocery store??

Try tutoring little kids. Really little kids. You don't do much that will pick your brains, and you get paid a whole lot more decent.

if you'd rather be doing something constantly, go to kroger.

i swear to god, if you're standing there for like, 30 seconds without a customer, you get sent to do backstock/front(move everything up to the front of the shelf) aisle 14/do a store sweep/go on carts.

its seriously nonstop labor.

i was about to apply to a grocery store, but on my way there i stopped at web site design and video production studio just to see if they were hiring. I happend to have some videos on hand and they hired me as a digital video editor for $10 an hour. Exhaust all possibilities before settling to work at a grocery store.

haha i barely do anything as a cashier--when we don't have customers (it gets slow after 6 in the evening and we all work until around 10), we just socialize or pretend we're dusting/rearranging candy bars. sometimes we have "bascart" derbys. ;)

well. I'd say none of the above. Would you want to consider After school tutoring in a school or other small programs? It's a good start there.....or join some non-profit organization.

I'd say retail probably. Though it depends on what store and who works there. Then I'd recommend Rite Aid or a grocery store. You also might want to think of other ideas -- work at a library, babysit, tutor kids, etc.

Random --........Is it sad that hearing people talk about Kroger is making me homesick?

rite aid. They aren't too busy (at least in my neck of the woods) and you will have the right ammount of work to not be stressed or bored out of your mind!

I bilieve summer jobs are great, i worked at a camp for three weeks and they payed me a hell lot of money for having fun with little kids. Talking seriously I bilieve i will work at an international company while i try doing a masters.

i would like fast food joint or manager of a little business. mc donalds would be good to start working as a cashier.
