I got a letter from Pitt (and spoke with someone from admissions on the phone) and they said since my ACT (27) is only one point below their median 50% that I didn’t need to retake SAT or ACT my senior year (which is what they recommend for most people I guess). However they wanted my mid-year grades. I would be happy with this since I wasn’t flat out denied but the admissions person said they wanted to see how I was doing given my more rigorous course load. I recently dropped out of AP Micro and replaced it with two easy electives. Do you think this will affect their decision in a big way (given I will have straight A’s and A-'s for all my mid year grades?
Yes it will affect their decision. Especially if you entered the AP class into the SRAR and didn’t notify them that you dropped it.
I didn’t fill out the SRAR we sent in my physical transcript a couple of weeks ago
