I just checked my PittConnect and here is what is listed:
The Admissions Committee has reviewed your application and requested that I contact you for additional information, specifically your mid year grades, December SAT results. Once we receive this information from you, your application will be reviewed again, and you will be notified about your status.

My weighted GPA is 3.6 (school doesn't do unweighted) and SAT score is 1830.
Super nervous......

I just applied and they got my sat scores today. I wouldn’t worry too much and just try to do your best on the next sat! I’m wondering how long it’ll be until I get a decision…

@Lovehistory2222 I’m super bummed because Pitt is my top school… Which major did you apply for? I’m pretty sure you’ll get your decision within 2-3 weeks.

Same thing happened to me except they sent me an email. It’s so nerve wracking and I totally sympathize! haha I applied in August and they said they would wait for my October SAT scores; got my acceptance 2 days ago. Study your butt off for the SATs and things will work out. Good luck :)

wow hihello, I am surprised cause everything looks good to me. What school did you apply to> I commented on another thread too but here are some more details. Make sure you have good grades this year. Your cum. GPA looks good but do you have a downward trend? And I think your reading score looks good (to me anyway) but work on pulling that one up for next SAT and I guess try to improve math score too? Again, i think it looks good but you want to change Pitt;s response to a yes so a better math score can only help. If you have to manage your time between good grades and pulling up SAT, my suggestion is focus on the grades first. If you get any practice SAT time in, spend 30 minutes a day(more if available) to do practice reading questions. and then after spending time on grades and reading, work on math. if you don’t have time to get to math, don’t sweat it. Take care.

Hihello100: I am surprised you did not get in right away. Where are you from? Those scores are getting kids in that I know, but I am from the southeast and it seems that Pitt is looking for geographic diversity. Plus, we all applied in August. Seems like the pond, 2-3 months later, is more competitive now.
Heythere15…if they want new grades AND scores, I would suggest you sign up for the Dec. SAT and take it.

Do as they ask and send your mid year grades and scores in. That will show that you really want Pitt and worked hard to improve and comply with their request. I think you will have success!

@ctl987 @hsgrad I live in northern virginia. I applied as an international student because I am not a citizen here nor a permanent resident. I did however attend school in the US since 1st grade. I took the ibtTofel and got a 108. I applied as a Marketing major at the business school. My GPA for senior year is looking to be about a 3.8-4.0. And really hoping that my CR score goes up to 600+… Do you think this would help me get in? And since i am an international, i dont qualify for financial aid… I’m hoping me paying full tuition is a plus also.

It’s unfortunate that Pitt doesn’t’ “officially” look at writing because it’s your best score. But yes I think if you brought your CR score up it would help!

They asked me for my mid-year grades as well, even though I am almost certain that my SAT scores are the actual problem in my case. Does this mean that we are wait-listed?
