<p>If we're IGETC certified, do we still have to take the placement tests? I'm particularly concerned about the foreign language one, since I based my IGETC off three years of high school Spanish.</p>

<p>from what i recall, you can register for the course you qualify to register for if they have your transcripts that state the last language course you took. So for UCLA , even though they dont ask for HS transcripts, you would have to send them in if you want to use that to meet lang preqs. </p>
<p>IGETC cert is not enough....... your CC sends in the cert, and they just apply it, no one checks how or by what level of X language you met the cert- your CC does that.</p>
<p>Okay, cool. I gave my CC a copy of my high school transcript and they said they would send it in with my IGETC certification cause I wanted to use it for the foreign language requirement. Thanks.</p>
