Planning on appealing UCSB. advice please

Ok so i was accepted into UCSD but rejected by UCSB which is weird in my opinion...
I know UCSD is a great school, but I feel like UCSB has a good balance of an academic and social life.

Their website says that if you are going to appeal, they recommend that you send in your offical college transcrips and high school transcripts. I was only planning on sending my Official college transcript since I have 72 units with a 3.68 gpa. But my high school gpa was 2.5. So should I only send in my college transcript as I planned, or do you guys think that it might help me if they see the upward trend?

Did you call the school and ask why you were denied? If not, I would highly suggest that being your first step.

are they allowed to give me a reason?

ya, when I called they were very helpful

cant pm you back, number is (805) 893-2881, i just asked

ok so I called them and they said it was because i was missing 2 pre-reqs.
Should I even bother trying to appeal? Has anyone successfully appealed while missing 2 pre-reqs? Because I do have more information that was not put on the application and I could easily write up a compelling appeal essay.
