Planning to transfer to USC after 1 year of CC.. Have some questions.

Alright so USC said you need 30 units by the time you submit your application for them to disregard high school and SATs.
So what if I receive 30 units by the end of the winter quarter which is around the end of March.. Will they still look at my high school grades?
The deadline to submit the transfer app is probably going to be around the first week of February.

Also if I end up witharound 20 units by the time I submit my application, how strong do they take high school grades and SATs in effect?
Because I got a 3.0 unweighted freshmen and sophomore year in high school. 4.0 UW junior. 2.8 UW senior year. 1900 SATs.

Would I have a good chance if say i got a 3.8 gpa by the time i apply to USC?
Thanks!

oldschoolboy I transferred after one year at cc. I don’t believe they looked at my high school grades even though they did have my transcripts. I ended up with 32 units by the end of Spring. I have been at SC now for one year and it is incredible.

@Katie617 thanks for the info! I messaged you as well, thanks again!

Still looking for answers bump

@oldschoolboy‌ Based off the transfer threads that I have been scouring through, maintaining a GPA anywhere between 3.4 - perfect score is one aspect in USC’s review; however, they holistically look at every applicant. Therefore, I believe the essay portion of your application is very crucial to your acceptance as well. Everything you have accomplished, experienced, etc… should be stated on these essays to help them gauge whether or not you are a good fit at their college.

My D applied to USC after completing just 1 semester of CC. She was requested to submit her spring term transcript as well. She was admitted to begin in Jan, after completing 3 semesters of CC. I don’t believe USC gave much weight to her HS transcripts–her CC ones were much better.
