I have heard from many people that Plattsburgh only accepts around 10 transfer students into the nursing program every year. I applied anyway, even though I didn't think I'd have a chance. They are now asking for my mid term grade report, which means they are actually considering me. The problem is, I'm not doing so great this semester. My current GPA is a 3.45 and I have many of the prerequisites completed or in progress. I got great recommendation letters and wrote a pretty good essay. My current grades at midterm are going to be 2 As, a B+, a B, and I think the last one will be a C/C+. Do you think I messed up my chances of being accepted with these mid term grades?

All you can do is send them your mid term grades and hope for the best. Perhaps send them a short email letting them know that your mid term grades are on the way. Within the email, it may help to express your extreme interest in their program (mention a couple of things you like about the program) and why you feel it’s a good fit for you.

Thank you for the feedback! I already sent them an email letting them know it will be a few weeks until I get the report in. I’ve also emailed them numerous times regarding the program, so I’m sure they know. haha But I could always do it again! Thanks again

Good luck :)
