my teacher sent in his rec for penn already, but i haven't yet submitted my part 1 online due to card problems. is this ok? it is, right, cuz dont they just create a file for you?

also, for schools like harvard and yale that say we should submit a part1, how do we do this if we use the commonapp online? do we just submit the whole app as a chunk later?

Not sure about the common app online thing, but I don't think it should matter if you sent the recc. letters first? That's what I did anyway, I figured, if you can send them your ACT scores from forever ago and they keep them, same should apply to transcripts, letters, and such. You could call and double check though.

First, let me say that with the one college with which I've dealt so far (Columbia), it's totally fine if your school sends in their part before you send in anything. They dont use the common app, though, so maybe it's different for common app schools, but probably not.

Also: Wait, so I can just send in Page 1 of the three-page common app, and it will only send in page 1 and not Pages 2 and three? I did not know that. That's really good news for me if it's true, 'cause I want to at least get part of my application submitted so that colleges consider me an applicant. If anyone could confirm, that would be great, thanks.
